We connect you with independent local tree pros; we don't do the work. TreeHelp Connect is a referral service. The tree companies are separate businesses that set their own prices and are responsible for their own work, licensing and insurance, and they may pay us for referrals. Before work starts, ask for proof of liability insurance and a written quote. Full disclosure
Common questions
When should a tree be removed instead of trimmed?
Removal is the usual path when a tree is dead, structurally failed, leaning toward a structure, or too damaged to keep safely. A pro can tell you whether pruning is enough after seeing the tree.
Who handles permits and HOA approval?
You (or the pro, if you ask them to) should confirm any city, county or HOA requirements before work starts. TreeHelp Connect is a referral service and does not pull permits.
What if the tree is on or near power lines?
Don't try to cut it. Call your electric utility or 911 if there is immediate danger. Utilities typically clear vegetation in their easement, and tree crews will not work within the clearance zone until the utility makes it safe.
Is TreeHelp Connect a tree company?
No. We're a free referral service. We connect you with an independent local tree pro, and that company does the work and gives you its own quote.
Does it cost anything?
It's free for homeowners. Tree companies may pay us a referral fee, and that doesn't change what they quote you.
